Working out of "respect and harmony for Mother Earth", ASOANEI produces a smooth, sweet and lightly acidic coffee from the northern mountains of Colombia's Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta and Serrania del Perija regions. Founded in 1995 by Aurora Izquierdo, the first indigenous woman of the Arhuaco tribe to leave home for a university education, ASOANEI helps develop the local economy while also preserving traditions of the local Yewrwa community.

Grind Types
Whole Bean-- While we are happy to grind your beans, your coffee will stay fresher longer if you grind it as you go. There are many great home grinder options out there and many are surprisingly inexpensive.
Drip-- This is a medium grind that is the most versatile. Brewing methods using drip include home coffee drip machines, pour-overs (like Hario), Chemex, and AeroPress.
Espresso-- This grind is generally used for espresso makers. This includes home machines and stove-tip espresso pots. The grind is the most fine and is optimized to work with a high pressure extraction system.
Coarse-- Coarse is for percolators, french press, cold brewing, and sometimes AeroPress. Coarse is the biggest/loosest grind and enables water to move more freely steeping coffee for extraction.
All of the above, while generally true in the industry, also should be adjusted for preference. Feel free to experiment and please contact us if you have questions and we will be happy to work with you.

5 Great cup of coffee
Posted by Linda on Nov 8th 2016
Think I'd tried almost all of South American & Central American coffees but for some reason had avoided the Colombia ones. I have been very pleasantly surprised by the depth of the flavor. Maybe the chill in the air has something to do with it but I wake up anticipating that first cup of coffee.

5 I have found the best!
Posted by Gene Boetticher on May 9th 2016
I am a dark roast bean lover. For my Espresso Shots & my French Press, this bean is by far my absolute favorite! Smooth, creamy & bold, it truly makes my mornings.
